The National AIDS Housing Coalition supports a variety of policy initiatives and legislative proposals benefiting persons living with HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable populations. NAHC was founded on the belief that people with HIV/AIDS have a fundamental right to secure decent, safe, affordable housing and supportive services that are responsive and appropriate to their self-determined needs. To better assist in the mobilizing efforts of housing and health advocates across the country, NAHC offers essential resources that support a range of federal policy initiatives. The tools available on this site include current health and housing statistics and analysis, research findings, press releases, and legislative updates designed to keep advocates and policy makers well informed. A glossary of terms for a better understanding of terms and ideas surrounding policy is included.
We encourage all community advocates to learn about and support the following legislation and programs, and to also provide comments and feedback on the use of our tools or discussions with policymakers regarding these initiatives.
